PYF Collective
Positive Youth Fest (PYF) is an annual celebration of Do-It-Yourself culture, music, and activism from the Washington, D.C. area.
It is a chance for young people to meet each other, learn skills, hear some sweet music, and take part in creating an inclusive scene.
It is a safe(r) space that is free from all forms of oppression, instead promoting a respectful and welcoming environment.
The PYF Collective is made up of roughly ten members mostly between the ages of 16 and 20. We all live in the DC metro area.
While some members have been planning and attending PYF for a few years now, others are getting involved this year for the first time.
If you'd like to help organize this year's PYF get in touch with us and we'll let you know about our next planning meeting.
This year's workshops will be lead by a variety of groups, including DC Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), local organizers, and collective members.
